No. When can a heavy gunner carry around 2 weapons that each fire 15 RPS? Never. No man portable firearm fires 30 RPS, except for maybe the MG42. If they do allow it, there must be a hopper cap; simulating the barrel changes needed for that kind of sustained fire.

Unless it is mounted, they should not allow it.

It is very unrealistic.
Everyone is limited to 50 rnds so your machine gunners will carry a regular 200rnd hopper and actually be a gunner.

In scenario and woodsball everyone carries 200 rnd hoppers so their heavy gunners carry those dt's....A Gatlling gun or mini gun.

No one carries around gatlling guns or mini guns, to use this properly it should be a mounted crew served style weapon.

Actually our heavy gunner totes an A5 ( not a double trouble, but his hopper holds almost 400 rounds.... thus the reason hes our heavy gunner, The way i see it would simulate being belt fed, and anyone whose ever seen Full Metal Jacket and seen Animal Mother tote that puppy around unmounted and fire it likewise...

The only thing that stops a regular marker from keeping up the the DT is feed rate, I slowed my 98RT to 19bps as the halo wasn't keeping up.  However there are A-5s out there (and I've seen one) that will feed well over 26bps I've seen one that cycles at over 42 (but can't feed that quick by a long shot)  So if you can make a single A-5 shoot and feed at about the same speed as a standard DT for a lot less money why not allow the DT, as to hopper caps to simulate barrel changes think about the time required to reload 2 hoppers from the unerganomic possition that the DT hangs in.

I have an A5 with e-trigger and I can slow the auto speed down to about that of semi-auto. I say at about 8 to 10 bps. However, even when I go to play in this leauge I will just use semi auto even if they ever allowed the Heavy Gunner use the 200 round hopper to match the SAW, .50 cal of the 70s, or what ever.

what about other double barreled guns, im building a maghammer. its 2 68 automags lvl-10's going phuno on 1 triger frame. its max bps would only be about 18-20 on a true r/t trigger setup (pull 1 fires, release, second fires) and it will be topped off with a flame (paint) thrower. ill have a small to med. tank on my back filled with liquid paint and an air tank next to that. the weight alone will make up for the advantages the d/t brings.

i'd say as far as that goes, Flamers are already stated as being allowed, so you can count on me bringing mine, however the response trigger is not allowed, so I'd look into another trigger frame if your building this thing for TacTen.  Granted I think it saounds cool, and I personally would love to see it (huge fan of automags) but it just wouldnt be feesable.  on the flip side, if you weren't playing heavy gunner with that thing, you'd still be limited to 50 rounds per gunload at a time, thats two hoppers with 25 rounds in them....

the mag set up is for the woodsball team im on. i wouldnt use that in the league, not enough paint for it. i curently looking for a used clip fead marker like an AT-85 or something. i cant see spending a crap load on a marker that i may end up not likeing or never useing  at all. im getting real tired of my tippman, hell im tired of hoppers. i realy like the look of the T68, but its a bit pricey for me.

if you buy it when you pre-register for the TTPL league, you can get it 279 which isn't bad at all considering an A% will set you back a similar amount.
