hey man, im from Simcoe Ont.  its 30 mins away from Brantford and 45 mins away from Hamilton.. anyways, to help you out, go out and promote your self like posters talk to ppl at the radio station and get them to put out and anouncment including contact info. go the the local high school and U of Ottawa. and put up posters.  those are some ideas.  just make sure its flashy, easy, not to hard to read and contact info right there (for the posters)
