Quote from: Hashido Cpt on Nov 10, 2006, 01:33:57 PMsounds good. Would black and grey speedball pants be ok? Its part of our team uniform (Black/White/Grey)I would say no. For the reason we don't want others thinking this is just another style of speedball. We want to stick to the realism of TACTICAL format, and to do so we need to follow tactical uniforms. Sorry, but I also put my speedball uniform away for this one, but good question.

Quote from: maelstrom on Nov 14, 2006, 08:12:24 AMwhat about a Paintball Jersey with a custom camo print?our team recently added some scenario play and creating some custom styled camo gear... just looking to see if we have to add the expense of yet another uniform... if we must then we must.. just thought i would ask as our coffers are still only lightly lined.camo jerseys are fine.

What about a Middle Eastern look that was brightly colored and wasn't uniform? What about a street gang look that was all red, blue, etc? How about Viet Cong (black pajama looking) styled outfits? How about jeans and leather with an MC logo on the jackets? There are a lot of "uniforms" that are technically outside of those guidelines, but would still be appropriate for a tactical game.
I doubt there will be civilians (unless there's a mission with hostages), but why couldn't a team play the OPFOR? I'd love to see a bunch of guys wearing keffiyehs with AKA5s or a group of guys wearing all green w/green bandanas and AKA5s and UZIs. I think that would add to the fun for everybody.
ok, as long as people are throwing stuff out there, what about my teams unis? they're mob garb, suits, vests, the like. obviously doesnt fit the look we're going for, but they're darker
Just throwing in my 2 cents worth. Personally, I would like to see everyone in BDUs of some sort. A line has to be drawn somewhere in regards to what is allowed and what isn't. This particular league is unique in the fact it will be all tactical...lets keep it unique and leave the jerseys at home for this one. I would even go a step further and say all footwear needs to be either law enforcement or military. They don't need to be milspec, but at least leave the tennis shoes and cleats at home. To get into a pair of jungle boots and cheap BDUs is not a major expense. Aside from the masks we have to wear, I say everything you bring on the field should appear to be something a recognized military or law enforcement agency uses in their operations.
Listen you guys could argue this all day but what he is saying is they want everyone to to dress like our soldiers and to argue the point about what the league wants isnt going to get you anywhere so stop. Im sure if you show up dressed like an idiot who doesnt want to take the tournament serious you wont be allowed to play, look proffesional and act like an adult. Its the rules of the league.
i just dont think you'll get the people you want with these requirments. maybe they're not a huge expense, but i'd figure minimully it'd be about 60 bucks for BDU jacket, pants, and decent militaryish boots. you can get cheaper knockoff versions, i know 'cause i've done it, but they suck. 60 bucks isnt a huge expense, but for people on the fence it might tip them one way or another.
i thought it was up for debate....
i mean i would hate to show up in my military gear with a paintball looking marker and not be allowed to play because i was considered an idiot...

Sure, it may cost someone a few bucks to get one, but at that sweet price, how can you afford not to. geeze, thats a good price and everything, but it still isnt cheap. i'll bide my time with the uniform thing for now. if this group gets enough members with the requirments it has no i'll eat my words, but i just dont think it'll happen. especially if the nessesity for militaryish looking guns is going to be a requirment. idk, maybe im wrong, but i just dont see it happening.
