UNIFORM POLICY
« on: Nov 10, 2006, 01:13:02 AM »
UNIFORM POLICY

Tactical Ten will have a uniform policy. What does this mean? Well we said we don't want it to just be like any other format of paintball. We are pushing for high standards and for one to stand out from all the rest. This format is to be as close to the real thing as could be. The realism of Tactical Play. So, this being said, we are looking for all teams to be in uniform standards as the following.
1. All team members must be dressed the same.
2. Uniform must be either a BDU style or all black.
3. No speedball Jerseys please.
4. No bright colors.
5. Try to keep to a tactical marker. If you are using a bright colored marker, please use something to camo the marker. Example; cover with dark or camo tape. Paint the marker. Or any other idea's you may have that will work. PM me or drop a line here is better, so all can see what all thoughts are for players.

I would say no. For the reason we don't want others thinking this is just another style of speedball. We want to stick to the realism of TACTICAL format, and to do so we need to follow tactical uniforms. Sorry, but I also put my speedball uniform away for this one,  ;D but good question.

What if the team uniform consists of identical shirts, but various pants? Or identical pants, but different shirts? Or, identical vests, but different pants and shirts? What about camo jerseys? What I'm getting at, is how identical do you want these uniforms to be, head to toe, or is there leeway?

Just try to keep it as close as possible. Like any team formatted game. Soccer, Hockey, Baseball are some examples.  :) Hope that helps

Would Special Ops Paintball clothing line be allowed?

it's a hybrid between paintball & military style clothing.

mainly a in digital camo (for now).

what about a Paintball Jersey with a custom camo print?

our team recently added some scenario play and creating some custom styled camo gear... just looking to see if we have to add the expense of yet another uniform... if we must then we must.. just thought i would ask as our coffers are still only lightly lined.

What about a Middle Eastern look that was brightly colored and wasn't uniform? What about a street gang look that was all red, blue, etc? How about Viet Cong (black pajama looking) styled outfits? How about  jeans and leather with an MC logo on the jackets? There are a lot of "uniforms" that are technically outside of those guidelines, but would still be appropriate for a tactical game.

But they aren't modern day military uniforms.  Not tactical uniforms.

Correct, but the point he is trying to make is that our military are not always going to be up against enemies with standard BDU's. The enemies we face today could be dressed in anything in order to blend in to the surrounding population.

True, but if you wish to push that point, why not have a position called "suicide bomber"?  Or something similar to that effect.  This league is about playing paintball, but making it seem like real combat or at the very least, like real military training.  When the military train they use BDUs.  They look professional.

And also, if you look at a pic of all the players from any tournament game of speedball, what are you gonna see?  Guys wearing nothing but speedball stuff.  If you look at a pic of all the players from any scenario game what are you gonna see?  A bunch guys in BDUs, speedball outfits, guys in weird costumes and guys in just regular clothing.  If this league allows the players to wear uniforms other than BDUs then it'll look just like an offshoot of scenario games which it isn't and which it is proud of not being.

Uhhh, no they don't. At least that wasn't my experience. Guys playing terrorists, looked like terrorists. "Civilians" were dressed like civilians. It was real easy to tell who was who. They guys playing the OPFOR always had a bunch of fun dressing up.
