LAND WARRIOR SYSTEM
« on: Nov 08, 2006, 09:25:05 PM »
Real Action Paintball is proud to announce the release of the RAP4 Land Warrior System, a video camera that is small and compact, with many mounting options that interface with marker barrels, goggles, and your body. They mount to any rails, sights, or barrels, making the RAP4 Land Warrior System extremely versatile...and enabling it to be mounted on firearms, ATVs, or other non-paintball tools.

The RAP4 Land Warrior System allows you to capture audio and video, or photos, hands-free while in the action. The system has a built-in 32MB internal memory chip that holds over an hour of video, and it can be expanded for longer videos with a different SD memory card .

The RAP4 Land Warrior System is designed for ease of use--it's ready at the push of a button. The system comes with all the cables to connect directly to a TV or PC for viewing. This makes sharing the captured photos and videos simple and easy.

For paintball players, the RAP4 Land Warrior System helps capture those tough moves and in-your-face action, and by watching game footage, you can improve your technique and strategy. The system also helps you spread the word about paintball--you can share your video with friends and family! Show 'em what paintball is really like.

For Law Enforcement, the RAP4 Land Warrior System maybe the key to the next training evolution. By adding the RAP4 Land Warrior System to current training equipment, you can now capture every aspect of training. With a simple plug-and-play cable, review training exercises step-by-step. By reviewing what was done right and wrong from the participant's perspective, officers can greatly improve their skills and train more effectively.

Key Features:
- Hands-free audio and video capture
- Over 1 hour of recording time
- Multiple mounting options
- 32MB internal memory included
- SD memory card expansion capability
- Wireless, compact design
- TV cable for instant replay on the big screen and USB for easy uploads
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP compatible Action Lab software – edit still images or video
- Three resolutions at 15 fps: 640 x 480 (default), 320 x 240 or 160 x 120
- Operates with 4 AAA batteries, not included

I have one of them and it is great!  I have not used it for a scenario yet only practice.  I can't wait to use it in March at Splatbrothers.  Great product!

One of the St. Louis Samurai has one on his marker and it takes some pretty sweet pictures check out their website and look a the photo gallery.
Outlined against a blue-gray October sky the Four Horsemen rode again. In dramatic lore they are known as famine, pestilence, destruction and death.

We have that too. We have them hooked up with wires remote and GPS real tracking of our troops. All relays back to HQ for the Generals in GAMES on a labtop! You can say we are like the "UNIVERSAL SOLDIERS"

Wireless remotes? What feq do they transmit on? Do you have any issues with line-of-site?
Do these cameras work well in low light? I was thinking of buying several and mounting them on the buildings to film theTTPL. The vidio looks great, I had seen that before and thought it was a high dollar digicam. RAP4 is the shiznit!!

hmm.... so is there a kit that can be bought that has a small lcd screen with wires or something to the camera that I can keep strapped to my arm or mounted to a helmet or something? Ive been work on rigging one up forever!!

Ive found a suitable screen, it runs off 4 AA batteries and has a 2.5 inch screen with overall dimensions of 3 5/8 by 2 3/4 depth is 1 1/8
http://www.millertech.com/specs/lcdpb25-specs.PDF

and has a normal AV cable spot

I realize the land warrior camera has a AV cable spot to plug into a tv, but to you guys that have it, will the camera display onto the tv real time footage? or will it just playback pre recorded footage?
