Tippmann X7 Flatline mod or RAP T68 Gen 5
Ace:
I have an old Tippmann 98 but I'm going to be starting a scenerio team here soon. I have 4 friends who are starting it with me and and were wondering which line of markers we should invest in.
My tippmann has been nothing but awesome and I know the X7 with a flatline with a Q loader would be a quality gun with a real enough look to it.
However the RAP4 T68 GEN 5 looks awesome for the type of scenerio's we want to play as well. We are hoping to obtain all this gear by August 25th for the Decay of Nations game in SC Village in California so if you all can get back to me that would be awesome..

My little tid-bit to try and help some.
A freind of mine bought an X7. I should say ordered it. Anyway, it came with a response trigger, flatline barrel, retractable stock, and a red dot scope. It was well over 300.00. I can tell you that its very fast! They are quite accurate from what I seen. I don't see the point in the scope but I'm a little old school in that area.
Now, I also know that he was runnin' a co2 bottle and the factory hopper could not keep up with the response trigger. I'm pretty sure the air actuated hopper's lines were freezing up because of him holding the trigger on full auto. (that s.o.b. was fast!!!!)
Other than that it was a nice looking peice of hardware.
I'm not saying it's better because I've never had the opportunity to play with the T68 but it is impressive.
Good luck making your decision, I know what I would've pick before last weekend but now I don't know.
I have two tippman 98's, a gameface recon, and my wife has a spyder so thats what I compare everything to. Good Luck again!

I own 2 x-7's as well as an A5. I have played with a gen5, and can say its great for realism and firing, however, running it with the 5oz CO2 in stock, your limited on about 150-175 shots. and if you plan on not using the hopper adapter and going only with the Mags, stock up on mags and be prepared to have to change at the worst oppertunity.
My A5 and one of my X-7's have flatlines and q-loaders with response triggers. after adjusting the velocity, they can pull headshots from 125-140 feet no sweat.
My second X-7 has an 18 inch rifled barrel with the Long M203 and M203 handguard with sight to replicate the M16A2, it has E- trigger and q-loader. Now THIS is my pride and joy.
I have a scope mounted and run a target at 150 feet on my property, using the scope I keep about 90% of my shots within a basketball sized group.... not bad for a marker
Q-Loader is the way to go. I used to just carry 10 100rd pods and have to dump and go, now I carry 10 q-pods and have at it.

Yes I have to agree, I own an X7 and let me tell you. The Electronic trigger on it is good for all types of gameplay. From a heavy gunner with full auto- to rifleman with its semi auto fire. Here's the thing many X7 owners don't even know, you can make custom firing modes. Such as 2 shot, one shot when the trigger is pulled and one shot when the trigger is released. The possibilities of the X7 are endless. The mods are great and I've haven't had a problem yet. The Gen5 I feel is too much of a problem, I mean its a great gun but like DeMented6521 said about the 5oz CO2 and the magazine swaps.
